Jerry Young, co-founder and managing partner of Young + Wright Architectural, is designing and building a new house.  The overall goal of the project is to construct a new home that will generate more power than it consumes; through the use of solar power, and a co-generation system.  Jerry is also considering ways to retain rainwater on the site and utilize the water for certain plumbing functions (flushing toilets and washing laundry).

The overall design and construction are utilizing “green” and “sustainable” elements.  Design considerations include the position and location of windows, doors, roofs and other exterior elements.  Sustainable construction materials will be utilized throughout the project.
